I was one of those initially asking to give Obama a chance. I did not vote for him. As a matter of fact I suspect there are few things we agree on except our need to breath air and take nourishment. We certainly agree on nothing Political I have found thus far.
I do however think as an American it is first my responsibility and duty to vote regardless of the choices and secondly to support our government of the day AS LONG AS it supports our way of life as originally intended back when this great country was founded.
I did not like many of the issues and reports we were hearing about Barack during the campaign. The problem I had with many of the reports was I had no idea if those on the extreme right were fabricating the stories or not. How can we tell? Contrary to what the members of either side wish us to believe… They BOTH lie. THAT is a big part of why I am a Political independent. The rest of the issues of course are other subjects for other times.
The bottom line is I did not want to believe ANYONE we the people could possibly consider to become our President could have anything but our established way of life foremost in their mind. I knew and still do understand the concept is idealistic at best but nonetheless a big part of me longs to believe the concept.
My transition from giving Barack Obama a chance to opposing his big government ideology can be readily seen chronologically through my change in attitude of my blog posts @ foosisBlog.com.
Many have asked what a reasonable period of time would be to see if our new President’s way will work. I think a more reasonable question would have been how long would be reasonable to decide if he was worthy of our support OR if his policies should be opposed. The only way I could see to make a rational decision was to actively observe. His political statements, his views, his appointments and the character of the same, the bills he supported, and the policies and politics he allowed those in his administration to support were all areas needing honest evaluation.
The issue of how long this analysis would actually take was entirely up to Barack Obama and his administration. ANY decision, no matter how small or large, needs an undetermined amount of knowledge to arrive at a final conclusion. In this case it did not take long.
The first real evidence I heard was Barack Obama’s wish to “spread the wealth.” This was his own admission via a speech he gave that is now a part of history. From there my quest rapidly did become a realization. From there on out one action of this administration after another solidified my growing belief almost by the day. It did not take long at all to see my folly.
Lately it was not only his but also his administration’s support of hr1388, the give act. Had he and his supporters passed this bill as it was written we would now be facing a “mandatory, paid, volunteer organization” intended to promote the policies of the extreme left. I understand the mandatory aspect of this amazing oxymoron is the part omitted to make it politically less suicidal when supported by the individual members of the Senate. It passed with few revisions and now needs little legislation to make it even more of a leftist tool to promote ultimate control over We The People.
Please do not take my word for anything you read here. Do the research yourself. I would like nothing better than to be proven wrong. Google it!
Another bit of evidence is hr875, The Food Safety Act, that could in effect eliminate local food sources. For those of you less hardened, it at least discourages small agricultural entrepreneurs by taking bureaucracy to a level rarely seen against such a relatively small and innocent audience. I say this with the understanding it was BIG business that was responsible for the salmonella outbreaks of late.
Leave it to a Government to fix the “small” entrepreneur when the offender was big corporate America.
I think perhaps I digress. It is easy to get off track when thinking of what is happening.
Bottom line? Barack Obama is our President. Barack Obama and his administration are clearly not interested in preserving our way of life as intended by our forefathers. Many even openly admit such a twisted ideal. I do not think even Barack Obama would disagree with that statement, at least not without a thirty page report to hide the true intent. I say this because while still a Senator in Illinois Barack Obama went so far as to say he did not care for our Constitution because “it contained too many no’s.” I feel a bulging vein in my neck every time I think of such a travesty stated by one of our Presidents. Too many no’s? Those “no’s” were intended to keep control of these United States with us, We The People! Those no’s were meant as LAWS to keep OUR Government out of OUR lives! NO ONE and I mean NO ONE has the right to circumvent those laws let alone members of our governmental body. We The People ARE the bosses by law. We The People are the bosses as written and ratified by all the members of OUR Contintental Congress!
What can We The People do about this?
We The People can use our system to peacefully educate and inform folks of what is going on.
We The People can use our heads.
We The People can welcome those who realize they erroneously voted for this administration back into the fold.
We The People can invite those folks to join us once again because we on this side of the aisle understand that for whatever reason we can all make mistakes. We on this side of the aisle understand forgiveness.
We on this side of the aisle understand we are all Americans and must peacefully stand together as a group to maintain our way of life.
I just realized this little post is turning into a book…. Not my intention.
